Consumer Electronics EMS Solutions
Your Challenges, Our Answers
In the consumer electronics sector, each sub‑industry faces unique challenges:
PCB: Ultra‑compact designs in drones, smart home devices, and wearables often sacrifice reliability, with heat dissipation, EMC, and mechanical stress becoming critical risks.
PCBA: High‑density assembly and micro‑component soldering lead to yield fluctuations, making scale‑up costly and inconsistent.
Modules: Development cycles for flight control, wireless communication, and health monitoring modules are long, with non‑standard interfaces delaying integration.
Complete Systems: End‑to‑end assembly of drones, smart locks, and smartwatches often lacks full traceability and compliance, exposing supply chains to risk.
At STHL, we address these pain points with 20 years of EMS expertise-helping you launch consumer electronics faster, smarter, and fully compliant.

Featured ODM Consumer Electronics Case
PEYAKO Smart Cushion
One recent project shows what STHL's consumer electronics ODM capability looks like in practice.
The client came with an early product idea for a smart cushion designed for long sitting sessions. From that starting point, STHL helped move the project toward a launch-ready product through a connected development workflow that covered product realization, materials and support-layer development, PCB and PCBA design, control logic planning, prototyping, mold execution, wire harness integration, and final product assembly readiness.
This was not a standard assembly-only project. It required multiple functions - including heating, vibration, and air-chamber pressure support - to work together within one coordinated product system. It also required close alignment across product form, electronics behavior, prototype refinement, and manufacturability.
Project highlights
- Project type: consumer electronics ODM development
- Product direction: smart cushion for everyday sitting comfort
- STHL scope: product realization, PCB/PCBA development, prototyping, mold support, harness integration, final assembly readiness
- Key challenge: coordinating multiple comfort-related functions within one manufacturable product architecture
- Outcome: moved from concept stage to public launch readiness

Smart fragrance device PCBA main board design and manufacturing case
This project shows another type of consumer electronics cooperation.
Unlike the PEYAKO smart cushion ODM case, this was not a full-scope product development program. The customer already had the product direction, enclosure concept, user experience requirements, and market-side product definition in place. STHL supported the project at the PCBA main board level, focusing on board design and manufacturing support for a portable smart fragrance device.
The product required the electronics to support several user-facing functions within a compact enclosure, including fan-related control, LED light behavior, rechargeable power operation, button or switch input, and control-related hardware interfaces.
For this type of consumer electronics project, the PCBA main board is not just a simple power board. It needs to coordinate power, control, interface, layout, assembly, and testing considerations within limited internal space.
This case reflects how STHL can support customers who already have product definition, branding, enclosure direction, or final system architecture in place, but still need a reliable PCBA partner for the electronics side of the product.
Project highlights
- Project type: board-level consumer electronics PCBA project
- Product direction: portable smart fragrance device
- STHL scope: PCBA main board design and manufacturing support
- Key challenge: coordinating power, control, LED, fan-related electronics, assembly fit, and testing needs within a compact consumer device
- Cooperation model: board-level partial turnkey PCBA support
- Case value: shows how STHL supports consumer electronics customers who do not need a full ODM program, but still need reliable PCBA design, assembly, and manufacturing support
Why this case matters
Many smart home and consumer electronics brands do not need a full ODM partner for every project. Some teams already control the product concept, industrial design, app experience, enclosure, fragrance system, or brand direction.
What they need from an EMS partner is reliable board-level support: PCBA design, PCB assembly, BOM and component sourcing coordination, manufacturability review, and testing preparation.
This smart fragrance device case reflects that type of cooperation. It shows how STHL can work as a PCBA main board partner for smart home and portable consumer electronics projects, helping customers connect board design, electronics manufacturing, assembly, and testing requirements without overstating the project as a full-device ODM program.
