On October 23, 2026, a visiting team from Italy came to Shenzhen STHL Technology Co., Ltd. (STHL) to discuss a consumer electronics project.

The discussion covered the project's target market, available engineering files, and budget. STHL's product manager, purchasing staff, and engineers shared initial suggestions based on previous project experience, along with examples of consumer electronics products the company had worked on. They also discussed the possibility of a future new product introduction (NPI) stage and what still needed to be clarified.

For projects at a similar stage, customers can share preliminary engineering files or discuss component and budget questions with STHL at info@pcba-china.com.

Production and Inspection

After the meeting, the visitors toured STHL's through-hole technology (THT) and surface-mount technology (SMT) production areas, where they learned about the equipment and processes used in PCB Assembly.

The tour also covered first-article inspection (FAI), automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray inspection for internal assembly defects, and functional testing (FCT).

At the component warehouses, the visitors showed particular interest in material storage and handling.

Component Storage and Material Control

The visitors toured two electronic component warehouses organized by component size. STHL staff explained the temperature and humidity controls, refrigerated storage for solder paste, and dry cabinets used for moisture-sensitive components.

They also showed how material put-away and retrieval are recorded in the manufacturing execution system (MES). An X-ray component counter is used to verify component quantities on reels when materials arrive and before they are prepared for production.

For PCB assembly projects with defined manufacturing requirements, existing engineering files and project details can be submitted through Request a Quote for further review.

Thank you to the visiting team for making the trip to Shenzhen. We look forward to meeting again and continuing the discussion.
